春よ来い Haru yo koi
松任谷 由実 Yumi Matsutoya
Released in October 1994, this beautiful song is Yumi Matsutoya's 26th single. Yumi Matsutoya, also known as "Yuming" is one of the legendary Japanese female singers. She has been popular since early 70's and some of her songs are used in Gibhli films. For instance, "Hikokigumo (Contrail)" in "Kaze tachinu (The Wind Rises)" in 2013, and "Rouge no dengon (Message in rouge)" and "Yasashisa ni tsutsumareta nara (If I can be wrapped in tenderness)” in "Majo no takkyubin (Kiki's Delivery Service)" in 1989.
The lyrics of "Haru yo koi" doesn't sound like a colloquial Japanese but more like a literature. It makes this song even more romantic. Since we have lots of snows this winter, I wish for spring to come soon...
