"サクラサク, sakura saku" used as a telegram message to tell the result of the university entrance exam in old times. It is said that this tradition started in Waseda university in the 1950s when the students asked someone who lives closer to the university to check the result and send them the telegram.
Since then, "sakura saku" is still used as a common phrase to mean that the student passed the important exam. The opposite word is "サクラチル, sakura chiru".
This song is "応援歌, ohenka" for everyone who tries to open the door to a new beginning. Gambatte!
